Diamond tools
Characteristic and working conditions of diamon tools for glass and hard stones

Diamond tools are fundamental in the glass industry, where they are applied for cutting, edge polishing, bevelling, drilling, engraving, ect. In order to obtain the best working results , it is important to correctly set the following technical points:
- Cooling: an abundant flow of coolant must be orientated towards the contact area between the tool and the material. It is very important that the flow rate and direction are set in such a way to guarantee consistent coolant flow in the working area. We suggest to use water additioned with water-soluble oil to facilitate the outflow of particles.
- Machines: robust and precise machines and the absence of vibrations enhance the diamond tools perfomance. Thus, it is important to verify, before setting the tools, the perfect flatness of supporting surfaces and the lack of backlash between centering shafts.
- Working parameters: for each diamond tool we provide the best feeding and peripheral speed related to its applications. For any specific problem, our technical department is at your disposal to discuss and evaluate solutions.
- Characteristics of diamond tools: finally, in order to produce the ideal diamond tool, we should know the following data: tool dimensions, grit size, tool applications, material to be processed including thickness, brand name and model of machine , nr. of steps for diamond tools.
